FLINT, MI — Two state representatives are pushing for a federal investigation into the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

State Reps. Phil Phelps (D-Flushing) and Sheldon Neeley (D-Flint) are calling for the federal investigation into the DEQ, according to a news release from Phelps’ office. The call for the investigation came after a Michigan Radio story was publish Thursday, Nov. 5 claiming the DEQ knowingly dropped two lead test samples to avoid exceeding a federal drinking water standards.
